Today, the world looks to pristine lands -such as those in Alaska- to preserve as places of sanctuary and sustainability. The Whirling Rainbow Foundation, an international spiritual and educational organization, has the opportunity right now to preserve one of the Alaska’s most fertile and pristine lands. This 180-acre parcel in the glacier-carved Matanuska Valley is surrounded by the majestic Talkeetna and Chugach Mountains. A place of stunning beauty, it is rich with golden farm fields, a river carved canyon, diverse wildlife, medicinal plants and berries, and old-growth trees. It is on this wondrous landscape that we plan to create a Global Peace Sanctuary and Sustainable Community.
The Global Peace Sanctuary will be the international model of a thriving spiritual community, and a beacon of the North for ushering in a Golden Age of Peace through art, culture, spirituality and living in harmony with each other and the earth. We are bringing together some of the world’s finest visionary artists, designers and architects to create a state of the art Morningstar Cultural Arts Center, Peace Sound Temple and Amphitheatre (utilizing sacred geometry, astronomy and natural acoustics), Megalithic Sculpture, Earthworks, Labyrinths, Permaculture, Wind and Solar Power.
Inspired by the Navajo and Hopi Whirling Rainbow Prophecy and promise of peace for all Nations through the understanding that all races are one, The Whirling Rainbow Foundation was inspired by indigenous grandmothers and founded by White Eagle Medicine Woman (Suraj Holzwarth) in 1999. The Foundation celebrates all paths to wholeness through the universal languages of music, dance, visual and healing arts inspiring unified action on issues of world peace, racial reconciliation, environmental stewardship and earth sustainability.
As the international voice of the Whirling Rainbow Foundation, the seven-foot crystal inlaid Grandmother Drum was built in the Matanuska Valley in 2000. As a symbol of the Universal heartbeat of love that connects all races as a global family, Grandmother Drum has traveled the world for nine years, serving more than 200,000 people in hundreds of programs worldwide, including performances and music festivals, ceremonial and healing arts workshops, international conferences, environmental summits and global peace vigils.
After traveling and activating the world’s most sacred temple sites, the success of Grandmother Drum’s global outreach of peace through music has inspired us to expand our work at home by building her very own Global Peace Sanctuary featuring the farthest north Peace Sound Chamber in the valley of her birthplace. With this new opportunity before us to purchase and preserve this land as a sacred site, we are now poised to fulfill the Whirling Rainbow Prophecy, that “the healing will begin in the North and spread like a whirling rainbow.”
To secure the first 80 acres of this pristine land. We seek to raise $480,000. We have RAISED $63,000 to date. We request your contribution. With your support, we will begin to create an international facility that will serve all Nations and all people in our quest for global peace and universal harmony.
