Rainbow Path Internship Positions*

 

Grounds Keeper and Gardener manages The Whirling Rainbow Lands in Homer with weeding, planting and watering the organic gardens, building wood sheds and rain catchment, carpentry, snow shoveling and general maintenance.

Tour Sales Director: manages The Whirling Rainbow Store and handles all retail and wholesale orders for all drums, rattles, ceremonial art and all promotional products. Sales Director sets up and manages merchandise booths at local craft fairs and conferences. The Sales Director manages inventory and ordering of all product supplies, booth displays and printing of all product promotional materials.

Ceremonial Artist: Ceremonial Artist will assist in making all drums, rattles, necklace drums, leather medicine pouches, staffs, leather and bead-work to fill retail and wholesale orders as well as ordering promotional products, craft supplies and maintaining stock inventory. Artist will oversee inventory and work the merchandise booths at craft fairs and conferences. Ceremonial Artist will handle custom ceremonial art orders by contracting other local artists provided by the project. Ceremonial Artist will assist in coordinating all ceremonial art and drum making workshops including coordinating and setting up the venue. Ceremonial Artist will assist in teaching ceremonial arts and healing arts workshops. Ceremonial Artist will assist in training new interns in the traditional ceremonial art of drum and rattle making.

Administrative Assistant: will be involved in general administrative duties of the foundation such developing new systems, answering phones, mailings lists, face book events and friend requests, incoming sales logs, receipts and filing, purchasing supplies, mailing orders, ordering stock and supplies, posting flyers, photocopying, post office, banking and errands for office supplies.

Marketing and Design: will be working with internet marketing of cds, dvds and books and advance advertising, web research, graphic design, radio, tv and internet broadcasting. Intern will maintain all WRF social networking sites and improve networks and communication.

Video and Sound Engineer: will assist in the recording, editing and production of new audio CDs, tour slide shows and video projection, and making teaching DVD and Youtubes. Video and sound engineer is also the sound technician during world tours.

Tour Road Manager: Handles international tour driving, car and trailer maintenance and repairs, prayerformance and workshop venue set up and breakdown.
